Hi, I’m Claudia Persons, and I’m a designer.
I grew up between the villages of Morley and Wilson, Michigan, attending school in Morley, and traveling to Wilson to be with family for holidays and in my free time. I have always had a wide range of artistic interests, which include everything from fashion design and sewing, to painting and drawing. Thankfully, I found a way to continue all of these passions into a career through graphic design.
My time here at central has allowed me to find my own identity creating work for new or existing brand identities. My design process is organized and logical, much like my personality and I believe these traits can be found in the work I create. The subjects I enjoy designing most are the ones that align closely with my personal passions, such as my local community, and the environment. When I’m not designing, I can be found spending time with my partner, family, and my dog and cat. I also enjoy tending to my gardens, admiring the beautiful natural landscape here in my home state, and fueling my adventurous spirit traveling around the country, and someday, the world.
Favorite Typeface: Gill Sans Light
Favorite Software: Illustrator, it is the most versatile and user friendly of the Adobe Suite.
After Graduation Plans: I will be moving up north with my partner, to be closer to family. I hope to someday work designing for Michigan's tourism bureau or the State Parks! Until an opportunity arises, I'll likely be doing design work for a corporation or university..
