I’ve spent the majority of my life growing up in a small town near here known as Midland, MI. Art has been a major aspect of my life ever since I can remember. I’ve experimented with a variety of media including photography, printmaking, and ceramics but eventually found my place in graphic design.
This year, I had the opportunity to work for Verge magazine, a student run fashion publication, as the Graphic Design Editor. This position really solidified my intentions for my career and helped me realize my interest in layouts and working with print media
Outside of the academic realm, I enjoy spending time outside and traveling to new places. Staying active is part of what keeps my creativity flowing and one of my favorite ways to do that is through sports. I’ve been a member of organized volleyball since I was ten years old and have enjoyed playing for Central’s club team during my time here. Fashion is also one of my hobbies and I am often searching for new looks at local antique and thrift stores.
Favorite Typeface: Qafidut
Favorite Software: InDesign because I can organize and create within the same space.
After Graduation Plans: I would love to work for a major magazine publication specifically in fashion . Moving to New York City would fulfill one of my biggest dreams.
